Talk to Isha Nelson for just a few minutes and you’ll quickly understand why her Zieggy Tribe nominated her for recognition.

“You can’t do it by yourself,” said Isha, a Quality Assurance Supervisor. August will mark two years that Isha has worked at the Ziegenfelder plant located in Chino, California.

CEO Lisa Allen presented Isha with an award after receiving a letter from Senior Quality Assurance Technician Louis Castro.

“I am writing to you to let you know about someone who I feel is a Pop Star,” said Louis in the letter. “Without Isha, we would not have a successful quality team here in Chino.”

Louis went on to explain that Isha is a humble leader. “On cleaning day, you can find her in the production room getting down and dirty with everyone else. She sets an example for others to follow. Isha is not a boss, she is a leader.”

Isha studied Biology and Chemistry in college before becoming a lab tech in the food manufacturing industry. She went on to obtain her master's degree in Quality in 2013 and then started working at Ziegenfelder in 2015. Outside of work, Isha has a soon-to-be 12-year-old son and a 1-year-old daughter.

When approached about being featured in Meet the Tribe, Isha had only one request. She wanted her Tribe featured as well. Isha stressed the fact that she has a positive group of people helping her every step of the way.

“No ‘I!’ It’s ‘We!’” said Isha. “You need people to support you.” That’s something she found when she started working at The Ziegenfelder Company with her Zieggy Tribe.
